How Tumble works

Tumble helps the adult running the games (a parent, a teacher, a PE coach, a camp or party leader) pick an active game for kids, plan a whole session or adapt a game they already know. You tell ChatGPT or Claude how many are playing, their ages, where you are and what you have; Tumble answers from its own library of game cards, and only with games whose rules fit everything you said. Every game comes with clear steps, how it ends, variations and its safety lines, and in ChatGPT and Claude a card shows the game moving.

The library holds 42 games: partner push-and-pull games written by Tumble (Sumo Push-Out, Palm Push, Stick Pull, Knee Tap and more) and traditional playground and party games (Freeze Tag, Sharks and Minnows, Duck, Duck, Goose, Simon Says, Fruit Salad, Capture the Flag and more). The matching is deterministic: the same request gives the same games.

Things to ask

Naming Tumble ("Use Tumble to …") makes the assistant use it; without the name it may answer from its own knowledge instead.

The five tools

All five only read Tumble's game library. None of them writes anything, signs you in or calls another service.

ToolWhat it doesWhat it changes
games_search (Find games that fit)Games that fit the players, ages, space, equipment, minutes and energy you give, each with its safety lines. When nothing fits, it says which constraint to loosen.Nothing
games_get (Get a game's rules)One game's full card: setup, steps, how it ends, variations, safety lines, source and licence.Nothing
games_plan_session (Plan a play session)A warm-up, one or two main games and a cool-down that fit the group, with minutes that add up to the time you have. Under 9 minutes, or when only one or two games fit, it plans a main game and says why.Nothing
games_remix (Adapt a game)The material to change a game toward one goal: fewer players, less space, indoors, quieter, easier, harder, more accessible.Nothing
games_vocab (List search terms)The equipment, spaces, mechanics and skills the other tools understand.Nothing

Troubleshooting

Physical play needs an adult nearby. Read each game's safety lines before you start, match partners by size for push and pull games, use soft ground, and stop at once if anyone is hurt. Tumble gives game rules, not medical advice.
